Specialized Assessment Services

At Lifespan ABA Inc., we understand that quality treatment begins with a clear understanding of the individual. That’s why we offer a range of specialized assessments to guide the development of personalized, evidence-based intervention plans. Our assessments go beyond surface-level skill inventories—they are designed to uncover the underlying strengths, needs, and learning profiles of each client, helping our clinical team craft meaningful and developmentally appropriate programming.

Assessments are administered and interpreted by a Licensed Analyst and are tailored to the individual’s age, developmental level, learning history, and treatment goals. Results are used to guide goal selection, track progress over time, and inform transitions between levels of care or educational settings.

Our Assessment Tools Include:

VB-MAPP (Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program)

A widely used tool for assessing communication, social, and academic readiness skills in young learners. It also identifies barriers to learning and provides a guide for individualized verbal behavior programming.

ABLLS-R (Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills – Revised)

A comprehensive assessment and curriculum tool designed to evaluate basic language, academic, self-help, and motor skills. Ideal for identifying skill gaps and building functional independence.

AFLS (Assessment of Functional Living Skills)

Used to assess and teach essential life skills across six domains, including self-care, community participation, vocational skills, and home management. Ideal for older children, adolescents, and transition-age learners.

MOTAS (Meaningful Outcomes Treatment & Assessment Scale)

A developmental tool that tracks skill progression across naturalistic learning environments and helps guide individualized treatment across social-emotional, communication, play, and adaptive behavior domains.

PEAK (Promoting the Emergence of Advanced Knowledge)

A validated system for assessing and teaching advanced language, cognitive, and relational skills. PEAK helps identify areas for generalization, derived relational responding, and higher-order thinking.

IISCA (Interview-Informed Synthesized Contingency Analysis)

A compassionate and efficient functional assessment process is designed to identify the variables maintaining severe problem behavior. When paired with Skills-Based Treatment (SBT), it helps build tolerance, communication, and cooperation through trauma-informed teaching practices.
